I decided to take advantage of the sorta in-between-weather we’ve been experiencing here in LA and wear shorts and long sleeves.  We had a few full fledged summer days and then some chilly ones..always gotta be on our toes ;)  Either way I felt the urge to bring out some shorts I haven’t worn since last season and pair them with a newer blouse I exchanged some past closet loves for.  Yay for shorts season! And now to work on my tan….

This is the kind of dress you want to wear everyday..its so comfy and light..perfect for the warm days ahead.  I love dresses that you can dress up or down, they get the most wear in my closet…a good investment I’d say ;)  Gotta stock up on more of these!

This outfit exemplifies my two loves: vintage and modern!  Something about finding a pretty vintage dress just makes you feel like you won some sort of prize doesn’t it?  Maybe it’s the rarity of it…to know the chances of walking down the street and seeing another girl wearing the same piece are pretty slim to none.  I love pairing vintage pieces with modern ones…perfect mix in my opinion!

These are a few quick shots snapped outside Versatile Studios NY. It was fun to see the east coast side of Versatile!  The studio in NYC is also home to Kate Mathis who shoots awesome still life and food photography.  It was chillier than I expected in NYC that week so layering was key for me…I am a California girl after all ;)

Oh how I love you NYC, you get me every time! Every time I visit I am reminded of why it stole my heart so many years ago.  The exploration of this city is endless..so much to see and do all of the time…and not having to drive everywhere?? What more can you ask for?!  These photos were taken in SoHo after taking a coffee break at Saturdays, where you can shop annnnd have a cup of coffee all in the same place. Yep, right up my alley.

It’s been quite the whirlwind of a month for us! Kicked off April with moving to a new place and ended it in NYC.  These are a few shots along the way.  Stay tuned for some outfit posts with my new pieces scored during my time in the city that never sleeps ;)

This was our next location on the NY in LA shoot.  Broadway LA = Broadway NY.  We wore our matching trench coats :)  These photos are very “us” since we love to explore the city we live in and as many as we can visit.  So excited to be going back to NYC for the next week where we will be doing exactly that!

PS. See the rest of our stops on the NY in LA shoot here, here, and here.

We had a rainy start to our weekend…which was a toughie at our new place we just moved to since our heater and stove weren’t working yet! Brrr! So I had to bundle up and we made the best of our rainy Friday. Recognize what’s printed inside my umbrella?? Yep…its the Guggenheim! Bringing a little NY to LA…again.  I think these are my highest heels btw…I pretended to be tall for a night ;)

I just had to share these fun photos taken at my husband’s Versatile Studios LA launch.  This was a neat and unique idea for the photobooth.  As you can see we had a blast with it!! You can see the rest of the photobooth pics here.

There’s been so much going on here as of late, so I thought I’d update you on the latest goings on.  Some of the highlights include exploring new coffee shops, my new desk purchased at an awesome vintage store, finding the lovely fashion truck and matching as usual with my twin sis…(twinsies for real!)
